experience.

I had a fantastic time in San Francisco. It was a really great experience. I started out on this trip with very little connections with the people on this trip because I normally don't interact with them at school (I do talk to them once in a while). But, as the trip continued I had connections with almost everyone and I learned a lot about people that gave me a different perspective then I had before. All together I became better at navigating and trying to be a leader ! Best immersion ever =) .

This is a picture of the beautiful sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge that we watched on our first night in San Francisco, it was beautiful!

Then and Now... My Thoughts (1)

Since I had already been to San Francisco a few years back, with my parents, it was interesting to experience the city through "different eyes": not only in respect to being older now, but also in regard to the "flavor" of the trip, so-to-speak. The last time I went to San Francisco my parents and I stayed at a Kimpton Hotel. To give you a sense of that hotel, they had cocktail hour from 5 to 6 in the lobby, during which time anyone (of age) staying there could stop in and have free wine or beer. Needless to say, I never partook in that, of course... well maybe I had a sip or two. This time around, it was really cool to be staying at a hostel, a complete opposite living arrangement from that at the Kimpton. I will say though that I expected the hostel to be much worse than it was... My parents have told me stories about really bad experiences they've had at hostels. I enjoyed having to use the public showers and other facilities because it helped me to branch out from the way I'm used to traveling (although i did go on a 9 day river-rafting trip down the Grand Canyon several years ago and we all had to share one bucket as a toilet...). The hostel was very accommodating and I was completely and pleasantly surprised when I found out they provided free breakfast to their occupants! I'm about to go eat dinner so I'm going to post this now... but I'm going to continue this topic in another blog entry later. Thanks for reading!! (:

park school san fran 2011 wooooooooooooooooooot!

Immersion was so much fun. Its difficult to say what my favorite neighborhoods or overall days were but i definitely have some favorite things that we did. Hohyun ms aja and I wen running along the bay and it was insanely beautiful! We could see the golden gate! On the first day, chillin' at the park in front of the hostle was really fun. I also really loved fisherman's wharf. It was realy pretty by the water and the shops were so cool. The sf m.o.m.a. housed some beautiful works of art, to which mr fedirko was able to provide additional informantion. City lights bookstore had a wide selection of books. I had never heard of any of them because there were so many different books there, not just ones you would commonly hear about. Coit tower had a realy cool view of the city, just from the base of it (even though we couldnt go inside). The city of San francisco is absolutely amazing. I think most of us who visited wish we could live there.

Hot Patato.... Hot Patato.... Please shoot the hot patato.

I think the weather has gotten to me. I must surely be succumbing to some illness being brought on by the asforementioned weather. The only evidence I have of this is that I have spent my entire morning thus far arguing with Mr. Fedirko about Patatoes, mainly whether or not one of the pictures he uploaded to this blog is, or is not a patato. I assure you that it us ub fact a patato. As you have just been told that the image is a patato you can now ignore any of Mr. Fedirko's arguments for the object lacking a certain, patato quality. Any who the weather has been amazing, therefore it will very soon beging to cease this trend and go in the exact oposite direction. In other news we went to Google, I signed a waver so I can't tell you much about it other than when you walk into the building there is a spaceship. NBD. Anyway I am going to go to the bathroom and see what this "shower" thing everyone is telling me about is.
